The Demonic Influence Is Strong, Be A Light of Truth

Day 1

1Now the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will depart from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and the teachings of demons,2through the hypocrisy of liars whose consciences are seared.
1 TIMOTHY 4:1-2 (CSB)

Commentary

We’re seeing this now. How many “churches” are now “safe places” for LGBTQ? How many are promoting sin and self above living holy for Jesus? The number seems to grow day by day. So many in this world don’t want the real message of Christ; they want what makes them feel good and elevates their desires. They don’t want to hear that they are sinners in need of a Savior.

Satan has set up his demonic powers to whisper in the ears of those who are so lost, everything they want to hear. Not only that, demons present such messages as being right from God. A “Jesus” who is honored by same-sex marriage or a “Jesus” who is just fine with murdering the unborn. These have made many gods named “Jesus” who are fine with whatever their hearts desire. That, my friend, is not the Jesus of the Bible, that is, as said in this passage, teachings of demons. Avoid such things at all costs!

If you know people spewing such things, give them Truth. Consider spending less time around them if they are not responsive. If your church is entertaining such things, find a new church. Do whatever you need to do to avoid being swept into these teachings from Hell and be sure to counter it with the Bible every time you can.

Soul Search

Am I standing firm on the sure Word of God, knowing that what He says is always the right way, no matter how much time has passed?

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I ask Your forgiveness for the things in my life which displease You. I also ask for a softening of the hearts of those who are rejecting the real You for a false god of the same name. May eyes be opened and hearts softened to the seed of Your Word, and may that seed grow inside of them into genuine faith. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen

Day 2

3They forbid marriage and demand abstinence from foods that God created to be received with gratitude by those who believe and know the truth.4For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving,5since it is sanctified by the word of God and by prayer.
1 TIMOTHY 4:3-5 (CSB)

Commentary

We’re living in what seems to be an “anything goes” culture. But if you look closely, it’s not “anything goes”, it’s “anything that is not of Jesus goes”. Radical God-haters still love marriage, but they want marriage to whomever and whatever, not one man and one woman as God commands.

The climate cultists want you to suffer for the cause of “preserving the planet” for the future. To worship creation rather than the Creator. They don’t want you eating steaks or burgers, or enjoying the fruit of your labor, they want you eating factory-made “foods” and insects, and giving up the comforts of life for their cause.

Understand that these things are not some new level of understanding or amazing display of righteousness, but instead are constructs of demons to capture and control the minds and hearts of people. To remove people so far from Jesus that they would have little to no hope in their lives and would go on to destruction.

Scripture clearly teaches that only God has the power to completely destroy creation and until the new Heavens and new Earth come, God promised this to Noah after the floodwaters receded.

22As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, and day and night will not cease.”
GENESIS 8:22 (CSB)

Christian, you and I are to enjoy what God has blessed us with, eat the food He has made for us, and enjoy the bond of marriage as He intended, all with a thankful heart to Him. Don’t buy into any of these climate lies and abhorrent sexual lies. We know that what God has made is good, and when we accept it as He intended and praise Him for it, it will always be a blessing.

Soul Search

Have I accepted or fallen into any of this unbiblical thinking?

Prayer

Heavenly Father, help me to always be discerning and relying on Your wisdom every day. You’ve told us the times in which we live and what to expect. Guide me, Lord, to follow Your path and not these many deceptions that trap so many. Make me into a light of Your Truth to help those who are lost. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen

Day 3

6If you point these things out to the brothers and sisters, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, nourished by the words of the faith and the good teaching that you have followed.7But have nothing to do with pointless and silly myths. Rather, train yourself in godliness.
1 TIMOTHY 4:6-7 (CSB)

Commentary

Paul is exhorting Timothy to help other believers avoid such demonic doctrines and to stick to biblical teaching. This message isn’t just for Timothy, but you and I as well. We’re to be on the straight and narrow, not veering off into myths. What our culture is peddling today is nothing but silly myths, lies straight from demons, whose eternal destiny is Hell.

In this time of history, I’d find it hard to believe that we don’t each know at least one professing Christian who is tied up in some way with these demonic lies. It’s your job to lovingly help that person by guiding them to Bible Truth.

We ought to be people training ourselves for righteousness. What that looks like is regular Bible readings and study, along with prayer. We’ve got to be cleansing our minds from the filth of this world every day. So that in our spiritual fitness, we can be equipped to help others out of these demonic traps of deception.

Soul Search

Am I speaking the Truth boldly, no matter what?

Prayer

Lord Jesus, strengthen me, oh Lord, to do Your will, to be a beacon of Truth to those around me. To be a hand which they can grab onto to pull them up out of the abyss of lies and point them straight to You; the Way, the Truth, and the Life. In Your powerful name, I pray. Amen

Day 4

8For the training of the body has limited benefit, but godliness is beneficial in every way, since it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.9This saying is trustworthy and deserves full acceptance.
1 TIMOTHY 4:8-9 (CSB)

Commentary

There is such a large focus today on fitness. While there is nothing wrong with keeping your body fit, it’s a good thing. But for many that focus is all-consuming. Social media is full of fitness images and videos of every kind, men and women displaying their bodies for the world to see, yet I do wonder what their spiritual fitness is like? Do they have a personal relationship with Jesus? What if people worked on their inner man as they do their outer?

These two verses are verses to focus your mind on, because while there is good in physical fitness, its value is severely limited in the vapor that your life is, when compared to eternity. As this world falls further into destruction, your physical fitness will have little use, but your relationship with Christ will be the strength to get you through and help others, a strength that you could never possess on your own. It’s the best thing to have now and is required if you want that joyous eternal life that God offers.

Soul Search

How’s the fitness of my inner man?

Prayer

Heavenly Father, build up my spiritual muscles, so to speak, that I am healthy and fit in all things You. Please help me to maintain the proper perspective on all the other aspects of my life, always keeping You first, the source of my real strength. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen

Day 5

10For this reason we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all people, especially of those who believe.
1 TIMOTHY 4:10 (CSB)

Commentary

With demonic lies all around us, propagating through our culture and ensnaring those who are spiritually weak, we are to be laborers for the Gospel of Christ even more.

The enemy induces fear in those who believe his lies, many of whom are clinging to whatever hope they can find, desperate for any glimmer of it. But you and I have the only real and lasting hope, that of Christ Jesus. It’s up to you to share that hope with those in your life.

When you know something to be untrue, speak up with the truth. When you know someone is scared, comfort them with the hope you have in Jesus. My brothers and sisters, time is shorter than we even realize; now, and I mean now, is the time to be pressing forward, full steam ahead for Jesus.

14“You are the light of the world. A city situated on a hill cannot be hidden.15No one lights a lamp and puts it under a basket, but rather on a lampstand, and it gives light for all who are in the house.16In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.
MATTHEW 5:14-16 (CSB)

Soul Search

Am I focused on Jesus or have I become distracted?

Prayer

Heavenly Father, if I lack focus, refocus me. If I am fearful, give me courage. If I am being selfish, make me selfless. Help me to finish my race strong for You in these last of the last days. I lift those around me up to You, that they may come to know You as I do. Use me as You see fit to bring them closer to You every day that I can. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen
