God’s Undying Love For You
Day 1
Soul Search
Do I dwell on just how awesome God’s love for me is and thank Him every chance I get?
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your mercy, grace, and love toward me. I don’t deserve the love that You give me, yet You love me anyway. And You don’t love me out of obligation, with a bare minimum effort, but with great joy. I love You too! In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen
Day 2
Commentary
There isn’t a love that we can have toward others or toward God that even comes close to the love that He has for us. The Bible tells us that God is love; He literally embodies the very definition and existence of love. Without Him, we’d not even know what real love is. Jesus even loves those who are lost in their sins: the thief, the homosexual, the murderer, the liar, and so on. It’s His will that all would come to Him and experience His full, everlasting love and grace.
As a believer, you know that Jesus paid the price for sin and that in accepting His gift, we have everlasting salvation and live eternally in the love of God. Today, share that Good News with someone you know who does not yet know it or understand it. Let the Holy Spirit guide your steps and give you the words to minister to that lost soul.

Have I ever become arrogant in my faith, looking down at those who are unsaved as if they are not worthy?
Prayer
Heavenly Father, help me to always remember that I, myself, am also not worthy of Your love, yet You love me. If I have placed myself on some sort of pedestal, take me down from there and fill my heart with love for the lost. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen
Day 3
Commentary
How precious the image of a mother hen sheltering her young under her wings. It’s a place of warmth and protection. That hen can defend her young and protect them from the harshness of this world. Just like a hen, God has placed you under His wings. In that place, you’ll find the warmth of His love, the safety of His strength, and the gentleness of His grace.
I can promise you that there is no better place to be than in the loving embrace of our great God and Savior. Spend time today in God’s Word, soak it up into your heart, and take time to speak to Him, draw all that you need from Him, while safely covered under His wings.

What in my life have I been compartmentalizing from my walk with Christ?
Prayer
Heavenly Father, whatever I’ve tried to keep from You or tried to handle on my own, take it from me today and may I nestle myself fully under Your wings — drawing all my strength, wisdom, and hope from You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen
Day 4
Commentary
After being made king, David was blessed by God with a great victory over the Philistines. The Ark was brought to Jerusalem, and David decreed a time to give thanks to the Lord. David understood that God loved Him not only during his life on this earth but for all eternity. Understand that God’s blessing alone isn’t the only display of God’s love for each one of us. His love is displayed through His grace and mercy toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us; in His correction of us when we get off track; and in His commandments for our lives, meant to keep us from self-harm.
When you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you were sealed by the Spirit of God to be loved by Him for all eternity. Today, give thanks to our Lord, who saved you, who sustains you, who leads you, and who holds you in His hand — for His love endures for you forever and ever.

Is my heart in a place of thanksgiving to the Lord today?
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I have so much to be thankful for, because You are amazing and in Your love for me, You have blessed me beyond comprehension. Even in my darkest days, it’s You who lifts my tired legs and ushers me through, with a peace and joy that surpasses all understanding. Keep my heart always thankful toward You and in a place of humility and hunger for You. You are my everything! In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen
Day 5
Commentary
Apostle Paul was no stranger to affliction. In his second letter to the Corinthian church, he described the many afflictions that he endured for Christ. So many have it wrong in believing that Christianity is easy, a life of health and prosperity. No, it’s a life in service to a new Master, Jesus, and this world hates Him. Therefore, affliction is destined to come our way as we live in obedience to the Lord. But God is with us every moment, and Paul states in this passage that nothing, absolutely nothing, can take us away from the love of God. Once you’re His, you belong to Him forever.
If you’ve been struggling in affliction recently, hold your head up high and know that Jesus will see you through, that His undying love for you will bring you ultimate victory over this world. It’s Jesus’ prayer for you and me that we experience God’s love inside of us.

When things are tough, am I dwelling on the Lord’s love for me?
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I know that the closer I get to You, the more affliction I will face from the enemy. May I never lose sight of Your love for me, and may I seek You all the more, during the good times and the bad. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen
Commentary
Many have believed that this parable of Jesus was describing the believer. But in context to the rest of the chapter, it’s clear that Jesus is referring to Himself as the man who sells all that he has, in order to buy the field with great joy. The field is this world and you and I are the treasure. When we understand it in the proper context, its beauty is truly revealed.
While the born-again believer certainly is willing to sell it all to have Jesus, it’s Jesus who actually has the power to make such a sacrifice. God loves us so much that Jesus took great joy in giving Himself for us. He was obedient to the Father unto death so that He could purchase that field and claim each one of us, the treasure that He so desires, the Bride that the Father has given Him for the wedding day to come.
